The initial phase of our build is now complete, which included:
- Changing layout to LHD
- Modifying chassis tunnel to work with original Porsche 356 pedal assembly
- Removing original swing axle rear suspension
- Sourcing and making good IRS rear suspension
- Installing new rear wheel bearings and brake assemblies
- Upgrading front brakes to discs with 5×205 stud pattern with dropped spindles
- Installing new gear shifter and link rod
- Installing front anti-roll bar
- Stripping all back down (front suspension, gearbox, etc.)
All of this took around one month, from a standing start of really not knowing what needed to be done, plus ordering parts, and finding the spare time to do the work in a freezing cold garage.
The photo shows all components stripped off the chassis floor pan, which is now ready to go to the fabricators to be shorted to accept the 356 Speedster body kit.

Next up will be tracking down lots of body parts and interior fittings for when the chassis and body are back from the manufacturers, but for now that is all for the major mechanical items.
